In these playful collage works, I explore the expressive possibilities of color, shape, and simplified form. I paint pieces of paper, then cut, rearrange, and layer them into compositions that move between abstraction and familiar subjects—flowers, fruit, vessels, figures, and still life. By reducing objects to their essential shapes and color relationships, I can focus on the building blocks of painting: design, rhythm, balance, and the way one color responds to another.
